This is a heavy-duty solenoid in terms of performance. It is used on 2008-current E-Z-GO Electric RXV Models. A solenoid is the main electrical switch that allows battery current to flow to the traction motor (on electric cars). A golf car solenoid is working the entire time the accelerator pedal is pressed.
